From March 1st 2013 KRUS is reorganized with the following departments and department managers:

Department of Studies
Main focus: Implement and develop the research and experience-based quality education to meet the agency's needs. Supervise professional development and ensure there is a close technical cooperation between KRUS and training prisons.

Department of Supplementary & Further Education
Main focus: Implement and develop the continuing education of high quality. Develop a basis for good skills development initiatives in the agency.

Department of Research
Main focus: Contribute to research and knowledge-based education, practice and decision-making in correctional services.
- Head of Research Berit Johnsen
Department of Administration
Main focuses: Recruit and ensure that new trainees are fit for prison profession. In addition, we provide information, support and service to the trainees and course participants. Development and operation of buildings and equipment that promote the health, safety and well being of employees and users and that contribute to good environmental management.
