Prison Staff Academy is the only educational institution that trains prison officers in Norway. The school pays aspirantene throughout the two-year training course.
It is specifically that both the theory and practice teaching service is added to one place, now Bergen prison. Ordinary carried prison school with a practice year and a year of theories. Practices implemented in year one of the country's 14 prisons of practice, while the theory year has normally only been implemented at the campus in Oslo. However, this is not the case with of this special litter.
The trainees will be employed in a full-time position and will be starting school in early September this year. They must go through the same auditions and will be evaluated by the same criteria as the regular aspirant coal at the prison staff academy. Aspirants are guaranteed equal quality of prison education. The training course is specially adapted. It must be expected that some of the practical services are added to other prisons in the Bergen region. In addition, there will be some gatherings at the prison staff academy in Oslo.
The Correctional Services Staff Academy KRUS has also previously completed prison education in this way. It is our positive experience with such an educational model that makes us look forward to cooperation with the Bergen jail.
The prison school's regular admission for this year will be announced in late June and will have an application deadline of the 21 August. Ordinary coal will be distributed to practices in prisons throughout the country, except this special litter in Bergen.
Prison Officers are guarantors for a safer society. The school is looking for reflective people who not only want an exciting education, but who also want to perform one of society's most important jobs.
